Learn the periodic table with this simple quiz app.
Quizzes include:
- Name and symbol: locate the element with the given name and symbol on the table
- The Impossible Data Quiz: do you know your elements by their data alone? You must identify elements from the given density, melting point, boiling point and atomic weight.
- Name Derivation: identify elements from the derivation of their names. Which element is named after the Greek for "unstable", or the Scandinavian God of thunder?
All quizzes are split into 10 categories: Alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, reactive non-metals, transition metals, lanthanides, actinides, post-transition metals, metalloids, noble gases, and unknown.
There is also a "whole table" category for each quiz, which takes you through all 118 elements.
